“Quit your job, buy a ticket, get a tan, fall in love, never return”
”It was as if someone forgot his musty old gym socks in the cupboard and then opened it after a week.

I had 6 days, around 2000 rupees and a single ‘plan’ in mind: ‘’Minimum expenditure, maximum exploration.’’
With a powerbank, charger, few set of clothes and a diary, I started the first-ever solo trip of my life.
My heart was pounding in excitement as I came back to my room and knocked the door which seemed locked from inside.
I heard footsteps coming towards the room so I held my breath and waited impatiently for my ‘female roomie’ to open the door.
He was completely engrossed in ‘this’ task of saving Mumbai and while addressing the fellow passengers, I realized, he had now started cursing me in Marathi…

I was born and brought up in the land of sushegad, Goa.
Yet, quite contrary to the image of Goans, relaxed and laid-back, I’m always on the move.
I quit my full-time, well-paying job in 2019 and have travelled solo across western, southern and north-eastern India.
